generating plant and battery. The charges to be made by the Admiralty for power, supply and maintenance would be a matter for settlement in
due course.
4. There would appear to be the following alternatives as regards the receiving station which can be sited either
(a) At the Admiralty Remote Control Station
at Stonecutters, or,
(b) On Hong Kong Island or the mainland, as
convenient, the Hong Kong Government running a control cable to Stonecutters at their own expense.

If alternative (a) is adopted, Their Lordships consider that it would be desirable to make arrangements whereby the receiving instruments and transmitting bays operated by the Hong Kong Government are in a room or building separate from those operated by Naval ratings.
6. I am also to state that after the Naval Remote Control Station has been completed and the time that must be devoted to Naval traffic ascertained, it may be found possible to allow
Stonecutters Station to take over one or more of

the routine transmissions, such as weather reports,
which are unremunerative and now occupy a certain
proportion of the time of Cap d'Aguilar Station, in
which case it would be unnecessary to adopt the proposal mentioned in paragraph 3 above.
7. A similar letter has been sent to the
Imperial Communications Committee and a copy to the
General Post Office.
